All 8k and 5k participants registered By June 19th will receive an event shirt at check-in.
Shirts will only be available to registered participants.AFTER June 19th as supplies last. Shirts will be available for purchase by one mile fun run participants for $10 as supplies last. Early Packet Pickup for pre-registered runners and walkers and on-site registration available the Friday before the race at the
PLEX Fieldhouse lobby (Merillat Complex), 2303 College Avenue, Huntington, IN 46750 from 6 PM until 7 PM.
Course Details
The Huntington University Cross Country courses are established each Spring for the NAIA competitions.
Participants will get a slight variation in the course each year at the set distance. Enjoy this unique experience with friends and family of a true cross country course - predominantly grass course with rolling hills and two creek crossings!

The event will be held rain or shine.
$25 entry fee for 8k and 5k or $10 for one mile fun run if received by June 19th.
After June 19th and until online registration closes on July 7 at 9 PM, the entry fee will be $30 for 8k and 5k.
$30 for 8k and 5k in person the Friday before the race and on race day.
Entry will be closed at 8:30 A.M. on the day of the race.
There will be NO entry fee refunds.
A fee of $35 will be charged for all returned checks.
Race registration will close once the maximum field is reached, regardless of the date.
Registrations are NOT accepted by phone or by fax.
Only one participant per application. The application may be photocopied.
Waiver MUST be signed in order to process application.
All participants MUST finish within the time limit established for each event.
General Information
Course Regulations
The Flying Forester race officials have the right to disqualify or remove any participant
from the course whose activity violates any condition set forth or who poses any potential harm to
himself/herself or any other participant.
The following are strictly prohibited at all times by participants:
Animals
Bicycles (including hand crank bicycles)
Motorized or gear driven vehicles of any kind
All participants are required to wear the bib number that has been assigned to them. Participants without
a visible bib number will be removed from the course.
Course Regulations
Course Time Limit
The Flying Forester 5k time limit is one hour fifteen minutes (2.5 mph pace). The 8k time limit is two hours (2.5 mph pace). 8k = 5 miles 5k = 3.1 miles
Headphones and Ipods
The Flying Forester race officials ask that participants do not wear headphones, ipods or similiar devices in the interest of
safety. In case of an emergency, race officials will need to communicate with participants.
Timing
Chip timing will be used for each participant. Chips will be returned at the end of the race. A clock display will also be available for spectators.
Directions
To Huntington University Cross Country Course from the North or South:
Interstate 69 North or South then West on U.S. 24
Use Exit at State Road 9. Turn Left at stop sign onto State Road 9. Continue over U.S. 24 to CR 500N.
Turn Right onto CR 500 N and proceed to Crestview Middle School on your left to park.
Walk to the course entrance along Gragg Street.
Parking
Free parking will be available at the Crestview Middle School.

Please note: Overall Champion will not be the age group winner.

Join us on race day!
Team Competition - Run as an individual and part of a team! Add a team name to your individual registration and 5 people per team will be scored together.
Teams can be created for the 5k and 8k distances. Teams of less than 5 individuals can participate but only teams of 5 finishers will be scored to determine the team event winner.
